Final game: Nepal vs UAE on 1st May 2023
The home favourites, Nepal will take on their old time rival UAE in the final game of ACC Premier Cup 2023 today. The final match is schedule to be played at Kirtipur Ground which begins from 9:00 A.M local time. From beginning of the tournament, many cricket fans were speculating about the two finalist of the series. And most of them were predicting Nepal and UAE to battle in the finals.
Nepal and Kuwait semi final match was abandoned due to rain but according to the points table, Nepal reached the final. The match was reduced to 42 overs , Nepal manage to put 281 runs with the loss of 9 wickets. Kuwait who was chasing their dream to reach the finals were shattered by pace attack of Karan KC who took 5 wickets in hi short 4.1 over spell. Kuwait only scored 37/6 after which the rain interrupted the play and the game was abandoned.
In the second semi final match between UAE and Oman, the result was announced using D/L method where UAE manage to beat Oman by only 2 runs. UAE scored only 236 runs against Oman in the semi final. Oman struggled from the start of the target chase. In the end the rain interrupted the game. Oman scored 190/6 in 43 overs. After the rain, the D/L method concluded the score was 2 runs short. As a result UAE reached to the final.
