Manga readers may already be familiar with the character and their significance, as well as whether or not they’re the “secret weapon” Love Hashira mentioned. However, anime-only fans will have to wait for the next episode to uncover the truth behind this mystery.
Just in case you missed the first episode of Demon Slayer Season , here is what happened in the premiere episode:
After the intense battle with Gyutaro and Daki, the Kakushi locate Tanjiro and his friends, who were severely injured. Kagaya believes that their triumph over the Upper Rank Six is a good sign that they are inching closer to defeating Muzan. Meanwhile, Muzan holds a meeting with the five Upper Rank demons, Kokushibo, Doma, Hantengu, Gyokko, and Akaza, where he reprimands them for their shortcomings.
After being in a coma for two months, Tanjiro finally wakes up, and everyone is delighted to see him conscious again. While Zenitsu is already on a mission, Inosuke woke up seven days before Tanjiro. Tanjiro decides to go to the Swordsmith Village, where he meets with the chief, Tecchin Tecchikawahara. The chief informs him that Haganezuka has been missing for some time, and they are searching for him. Tecchin assures Tanjiro that they will bring him back.
Later on, Tanjiro goes to the hot springs and meets Mitsuri, the Love Hashira. There, he also encounters Genya, who shows no interest in him. Before departing, Mitsuri tells Tanjiro about a hidden secret weapon in the village that will strengthen him. The following day, Tanjiro searches for the secret weapon and encounters Muichiro, the Mist Hashira, and a familiar figure from his dream.
